2. Types of Information Collected

We retain three types of information:

"Personal Data"
This is data that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you and may include your name, organisation name, position, email address, and telephone number. Such information is only collected from you if you voluntarily submit it to us. Access to one part of our websites, called the Resource Centre, is restricted to users that are willing to supply such data. We require customers who register with us to use the on-line applications ("Services") offered on our Sites to give us further information necessary to set-up the Services and billing information necessary to invoice for and collect charges.

"Customer Data"
Customers of the Services will be using the Services to host data and information ("Data"). Chip eServices will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as required by law. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purposes of resolving a problem, or supporting a customer, or as may be required by law. Chip eServices may collect and log information from time to time about activity by customers using the Services. This information is logged to help diagnose technical problems, and to constantly improve the quality of the Services. We may track and analyse non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our visitors and customers and provide such information to third parties. Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their login password.

"Non-Personal Data"
Like most websites, we gather statistical and other analytical information collected on an aggregate basis of all visitors to our website. This Non-Personal Data comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic information regarding, for example, user IP addresses, browser types and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of our website.

3. Purposes for which we hold your Information

Non-Personal Data:
We use the Non-Personal Data gathered from visitors to our websites in an aggregate form to get a better understanding of where our visitors come from and to help us better design and organise our websites and on-line applications.

The websites and on-line applications of Chip eServices use "cookie" technology to make the user interaction experience easy and meaningful. A cookie is a little piece of text stored by the browser on your computer, at the request of our server. You are always free to decline our cookies, if your browser permits, or to ask your browser to indicate when a cookie is being sent. You can also delete cookie files from your computer at your discretion. Note that if you decline our cookies or ask for notification each time a cookie is being sent, this will affect your ease of use of our websites and will prevent Chip eServices applications from working.

We will process any Personal Data you provide to us for the following purposes:

(a) to provide you with the goods or services you have ordered;
(b) to contact you if required in connection with your order or to respond to any communications you might send to us;
(c) to remind you of your password to access the site
