Data Centre Technical Manager
Candidate will have Cisco and/ or Juniper experience with a specific understanding of BGP4, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS protocols. The successful candidate will have responsibility for networking, routing, firewall and security issues for a large data centre operation.
Responsibilities:
- Contact point for all corporate interactions with the group
- Work with the full operations group to help design next generation computing and network architecture.
- Manage the implementation of projects for your team which can involve procurement, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, education, and emergency response.
- Technical escalation point for the group.
Skill Set
- Third Level / Degree Qualification in IT or Engineering.
- Solid technical experience in Linux or Unix Sys Admin.
- Experience in Team Lead / Management of Sys Admins or Data Centre Engineers.
- Solid understanding of IT Hardware architecture, maintenance, and repairs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid EU Work Authorisation.
Education
- Cisco or Juniper Certification ia a distinct advantage.
